1. Cingjing Farm
Review
I like feeding the sheeps. I wanted some fun, so i purposely stretched out my hand, the sheep came towards me thinking there is food but actually my hand was empty. It was obvious they are used to people feeding them in that manner and assumed that as feed. The sheeps also recognised the feed packaging. So when they saw me holding it, they swarmed towards me.
the sign says ‘ Do not chase sheeps’ , well, i got chased by sheeps instead.
Unless you like them clamouring around you, go ahead. I didn’t like as i didn’t want their saliva all over my clothes and belongings so i ran away from them and got chased around. After that i hid my packet and peace was restored.
It was scenic, high up at the mountains. It was a little cold, so just bring a jacket will do. i brought my fur jacket and in the end it was too warm, so i just wore my raglan aka baseball shirt. i wore slippers on the mountains as it was the monsoon period, it keeps raining everyday.
We managed to catch the horse performance but unfortunately the sheep shearing performance was cancelled due to the rain. Else, the timings:
Mianyang xiu(sheep shearing show)30am & 2.30pm (wkend & holiday only) (Do be there early if you want to get seats, but you’ll be baking under the scorching sun though. You can also just sit on the grass!)
Bring the student travel card, and get to enjoy discount! Mine was 80NTD
Directions
The nantou bus stop was just outside our accommodation, to get to the bus stop, we crossed to the opposite road, turned left and walked along the Section 2, Zhong Shan Road, Look out for the nantou bus for route Song’gang-Cuifeng(NTD122), get off at Qingjing Farm station (whole journey: about 90 kilometer, running time : 2 hours and 15 minutes)
2. Sunmoonlake
Review
Pity that it was raining heavily when we were there, otherwise we would have a blast cycling around the lake. Sun moon lake is known to be the most scenic place to cycle. In the end, we only took some photos and left, it was a disappointing trip as we spent alot on travelling and in the end, couldnt cycle there.

We boarded the bus from Xitou to sunmoonlake. Here is an except. For all timetables, click here.

We only came here because Hwang Lao Shi at Puli told us that we can get to Jiji from here, and he volunteered to drive us to Checheng as its the terminal station. Our initial plan was to go to sun moon lake,
